Mining stocks led the way to a flat close on the TSX, with the tech sector also down with RIM hitting a two year low of $38.15.

• DOW -97.29 o 12,151.26
The latest snapshot of the U.S. economy showed a sharp drop off in job creation and further cemented the view that the U.S. economy is rapidly slowing

• Dollar -.28c to 102.22c USD

• Oil -$.18 to $100.22USD per barrel 
The bad news from Canada's largest trading partner sent the loonie down

• Gold -$9.70 to $1542.40 per ounce

Canadian 5 yr bond yields markets -.04bps to 2.23. The spread (based on the MERIX 5 yr rate published rate of 3.99%) is at the top of the comfort zone at 1.76
